First attempt of the Saran wrap/silk method

Today was wash day! My mother was so kind as to wash, condition and rollerset my hair for me so I really didn't have much work to do this time =)

After taking out the rollers I decided to put that new box of plastic wrap to use, and here's what ensued:

I looked craazyy I know.
Next, I used a blowdryer over the plastic wrap for five minutes.

Above are the results! Overall I'm quite happy with it as it's my first try. Next time I'm going to try wrapping my hair tighter, especially in the middle which still had some waves from the rollerset. My hair isn't as shiny as I wanted and I know it's because my momma skimped on the shine gloss and oil! *shakes fist*
My hair did come out waaay smoother and silker than just rollersetting under my Gold and Hot dryer, and for that I'm beaming like a cheshire cat =D

There's a first for everything!

Organic Root Stimulator HAIRepair products

I was attracted to the ORS HAIRepair line because recently my favourite youtuber ulovemegz used this line and received some free products from Namaste. She orginally posted about the Nourishing Conditioner (see below) which she loooooooves.

Unfortunately, my beauty supply store didn't have this, but I did get the Intense Moisture Creme and the Vital Oils for Hair & Scalp:

I'm super excited to use these! The first thing I noticed is that they smell amazing, lol. Recently my hair has been very bleeh: kind of heavy, dense and a bit sticky...not the usual soft and silky feeling =( Honestly, I realized whenever I pincurl my hair or wear braidouts too long my hair gets like this. I also think that using the Neutragena Triple Moisture Silk Leave-In Cream too often makes my hair sticky.
For my next wash, I'm going to try the saran wrap/silk method to straighten out my hair, then Ima use my HAIRepair products!

See the video below for ulovemegz's review of the Nourishing Conditioner:

Have you ever used the HAIRepair products? What are your thoughts??

Rollersetting my hair...myself!

Two nights ago I completed my very first rollerset...with no help! =)

It may not sound like a big deal but to me its quite a triumph. lol!
Unfortunately, I was so tired that I didn't take any pictures =( Next time I'll wash my hair during the day so I don't fall asleep right after! Haha
It took about an hour 20 minutes x.x I know right! Total amateur. I think a little too much hair came out too. The thing is, when I detangle it looks like a lot of shed hair, not broken ones. Could I be pulling out my hair at the scalp?? When I detangle and air dry or when my mother does it I usually don't lose so much hair.

Ah well! On the bright side, I wrote my History exam today! *fanfare please* Wooot!

Relaxer Update and Quick Co-wash

I've been busy busy busy dealing with my exams this month, which is why I haven't posted in a while!
During my blogger break I had my roots relaxed at about 7 weeks post. I know, I wanted to wait the full 8 weeks but my new growth was difficult to handle. Plus, I hated having crappy hair everyday.

Gained a nice little bit of length. I'm now about 1& 1/4 inches past collar bone length. The downside is that my hairdresser didn't get my roots processed evenly and I have some telaxed areas. Grrr. Also, my ends are a bit damaged :(  I dusted them myself but I don't think I took off enough. Ah well...I'll just work harder to make sure they hold up until next relaxer in late June/early July! =D

Just co-washed with my new Garnier Fructis conditioner. The consistency is very thin and light. Smells fruity!
I sectioned by hair in four, twisted and pinned each section into a bun and then proceeded to co-wash each section individually. This method is soooooooooooooooo much easier and more effective than washing my whole head at once! *victory dance*

Downside--> Co-washing is not enough to remove the week build up on my hair and scalp. (My last wash wash Sunday!)
NB: Must use my Neutragena Triple Moisture Cream Lather Shampoo every time I want to co-wash my hair. Don't like this sticky feeling of build-up! Yeeechh

Currently air-drying my hair.
